Anime accurate Rose Bride Epaulettes

A quick and dirty shot of of one of the things I worked on this fall.

I made *seven* sets of these for a Canadian cosplay group. The request was for them to "look *just* like the animation" and I confess I was worried that the bright yellow wouldn't work. Happily, it came out quite attractive! (I just don't want to make that many at once ever again because that was quite a thing to juggle while working a new job!)

Crafted of lightweight plastic and foam and hand-painted. They attach to the costume with coordinating Velcro strips. The tassels I craft myself for the best color match. The brooch is custom-cast from resin, accented by an acrylic cabochon and features a pin back. The accent cord is purchased and in this case custom-dyed to coordinate.
